One of my relatives in Kanasas has a Ford Model T. Still runs too. He takes it out for a drive around the neighborhood every so often on Sunday's.

I know a mechanic that still is. His name is Dan Weed & he owns Weed Automotive in Concord, NH.

Those type of mechanics are still around. You just have to look harder for them. :icon_thumby:

You don't need an engine overhaul.

One glaring thing is--that was sent as the new Model A was being shipped to dealers. And Gleason was a Chevy and Buick dealership.

Those cars were easy and cheap to work on. The new Ford is coming out. Ford is sending literature to the current Ford owners. Gleason sends a letter to current Ford owners--"Bring your current Ford in..." and he either works on it or tries to sell them a GM? Either way, it's better if customers come to you regardless of what brand they drive.

Brilliant marketing--not proof of old-time values. People were scum way back to when the Pilgrams were swindling the Indians. And before that, I bet.
