Shift Knob Noise

Hey all,

I have been dealing with a problem which, to me, is an AMAZINGLY annoying noise.

I have an 09 FX4 5 spd....and coming from the knob itself...is a rattle. When I put my hand on the middle of the shift rod, noise continues...when I put my hand on the knob...no rattle.

Does anyone have an idea? I suppose I could take it off and get another...but why spend unnecessary money?

It's usually the little gear pattern insert that becomes loose and rattles. I pop them out and place a piece of paper over the hole and pop the insert in over the paper and it tightens it up.

a little glue might help too :icon_thumby:
