My 2.3l fuel injected ranger will crank only one time in the morning and runs like it is out of time but it isent and blows out white smoke.then when you cut it off it wont start back.but the middle of the day it cranks and runs fine. But also the evenings it wont start at all just cranks. And i check the oil for the smoke and it smelt like it had gas in it.

gas in the oil could indicate a bad fuel pressure regulator. pull the vacuum line off of the fuel pressure regulator. it is on the fuel rail. if there is gas in it that is your issue , replace it!

You will always have a hint of gas smell in your oil and in your vacuum line at the fuel rail.
Check and clean your IAC, and your plugs and wires.
