anyone in Minnesota done the duraspark on their 2.8? the po did it on mine and i have a rat's nest of wires that is left over and hanging all over my motor. would like to get together with someone more familiar with the conversion and get rid of all the unnecessary wires, connectors, etc. just pm me.
Mods, feel free to move this if there is a better forum. thanks

Start from the computer and work your way all the way back to the 8 wire connector by the power steering pump pull the plastic and tape off the harness back to the alternator exposing all the wires. all you need is the alternator wires the water temp and oil pressure. All i had to cut was maybe three wires off the 8 wire connector. for the ignition you need three wires from the dizzy and the green wire to the coil and the two power wires to the module. you will be amazed all the wires not being used just take your time and most of the vacuum lines go away also all you need is the pcv, vacuum advance and brake booster. put a block off plate where the egr is and if it blows smoke when you start it valve guide seals help alot for performance.

Just take your time and dont cut anything unless your sure it is not being used there is a connector on the start relay that goes to a relay next to it that goes to the choke relay and is not being used and always disconnect the neg terminal on the battery before messing with the wiring so you dont short something. any Qs just ask

The O-2 sensor wire by the dizzy goes away and the knock sensor is down by the starter in the block is not used either unscrew it and save it as they are hard to find someone may need one.
