I just wanted to verify that a passenger leaf from a 92 ranger would be a valid replacement for a driver's leaf on a 95 ranger.

Rock auto has the same part # for 83-03 leaf springs with no difference from left to right.

I'm having a little bit of trouble getting the new leaf spring to line up and I just wanted to make sure it wasn't because I had the wrong part.

Measure from the center pin to the eye, you probably are trying to install it backwards. It might not be that much to notice with your eye but the tapemeasure will tell you the long side and short side.

also there is an end with a bigger hole then the other, try to compare it to the other and that will also help you find front and back

I'm positive I'm installing it the right way, I've already checked both those things before installing it. I just wanted to make sure that I wouldn't end up having the wrong part at the end of all this fighting to get it in there.

Nah, it's the right part, leaf springs can just be a bastard to get in right. I spent a week and a half messing with them on my Nova. 4 years later they still aren't quite right.

I dropped in a set of explorer leafs 2 weeks ago in about 3 hours. The pins didn't want to set right but I just left everything a little loose and then got the pins in and tightened them down and tightened everything up and it went right into place.

Thanks guys, that's what I was hoping to hear.

I just got off work so I'm gonna head on out for round two. :annoyed:

Just finished. She still goes down the street nice and straight :D

Here's the old leaf.

Can anybody guess why I was replacing it?
