People keep mentioning that I should "pull codes". Since this system doesn't utilize OBDCII how does one go about pulling codes? I don't even see a port to plug into.

Someone somewhere mentioned that I could do it with a paperclip and a test light.....

Any help, somebody?

in the truck, usually by brake master cylinder(under hood), two plugs (a wide one and small one). connect the third terminal to the seperate plug, turn key on. number of flashes= trouble code numbers.

Thanks for the info guys....on my truck the plugs are actually on the passenger side under a plastic cover that you can remove to access all of the smog solenoids and the starter solenoid.

The codes I keep getting are 23 and 31. There were others in the memory but they were more than likely from me working on the truck and disconnecting vacuum lines and connectors while it was running so I cleared the memory.

Now codes 23 and 31 come back religiously.
