what'll i need for 5spd swap

hey guys while the cab is off of the ranger im gonna put in my spare trans. i have a flywheel and clutch assembly and the pedal and the master cylinder already. so all i can think of now is the slave cylinder and the starter is that correct? if so will the slave from a 2wd m50d work on a 4x4 fm145? both are 1988. thanks

I can't think of anything else you need. If the both bleeder windows are at the 11:00 positions they are compatible, but no, the M5OD slave won't work if it's used. Try it and you will be pulling the trans again right quick.

How about a new block plate? They're not the same between the auto/manual are they?

Replace the slave with a new one. If you dont do it now, you'll be kicking yourself when you have to pull the trans later.
