does anyone know the bolt pattern and size for a 2.9 auto ranger. the tranny is gone and i have a c6 on hand and want to know if it fits.

From what I've been reading, most C6 transmissions have a big block bell housing, some had the small block, but neither one wouldn't work. I also recall reading most C6s having a non-removable bell housing. C3/C4/C5 would be an option however..

The swap wouldn't be practical either, as it takes a lot to power the C6.

the c6 i have was on a 302 so im pretty sure it has the small bellhousing and your right it isnt removable but as fro the practicality i have an old ranger with a bad tranny that we wanna push till it dies(hence the bad tranny) so it really doesnt matter i dont plan on the truck lasting tool long i want to chop and drop a powerstroke into it
