Hello everyone. I finally jumped off the fence and decided to register here.

I've been looking to build another 4x4 after my last one was stolen a few years ago, and finally found a new project - hoping you all can help some.

The truck I've got now is a 93 Ford Ranger 4.0 4x4 auto with a manual transfer case. The trans seal went and the trans is fried thanks to towing a heavy load. Instead of replacing the trans, I'd like to do an F150 full drivetrain swap from a 93 or newer truck (emissions legal pretty much anywhere - although it doesn't matter where I am).

It has cruise, A/C, and all that - and I'd like to retain it all and make a clean swap that would make someone swear Ford built it that way. I've done alot of swaps and building in the past, so I'm up to the task.

I understand that in order to use the larger drivetrain, I need a body lift, and I'll be working on that one. Any time I do a body lift, I try to move the perches and use the factory mounts for safety. Later on I'll be building the truck up with a suspension lift, but for now it's all about the drivetrain.

From reading the forum in the past, I've seen that alot of you have some serious skills (thanks for posting). Please offer whatever you've got, and the best to you all!

A/C and a 5.0 in a ranger is tricky. The right side valve cover and the A/C box want some of the same space.

And with the F-150 upper intake; its too high, even with a bodylift i do believe. So a swap to a mustang or explorer intake would be in order.
