86 2.3 Fuel Regulator Replacement

Anybody out there familiar with replacing the fuel regulator on an 86-era 2.3L gas engine? It looks like the fuel rail has to be pulled first...the screws into the regulator come up into the regulator from the bottom!

Can I replace the regulator without having to pull the fuel rail??? Any help appreciated!!
 
yes, you can remove the regulator without removing the fuel rail. I did it about 3 years ago. I cant remember exactly what I did, the screws were allan head screws on mine i just remember the back screw being a pain because you can only turn the screw about 1/8 of a turn at a time. so it takes awhile to remove and install. Sorry I can be more helpful.
