The wife and i spent a day in the dunes today with some friends and had a blast. the weather was finally nice but it was a bit chilly at the lake. heres some pics and vids

looks like a hoot!drive it like you stole it!btw....agreed on that green truck.
 
is there anything in silver lake besides sand or hills? any offroad obstacles? I thought of going but driving around on sand doesn't sound very challenging or interesting to me?

what kind of obstacles do you want? some of the hills are really tough and there are some water holes that will swallow your truck. theres alot more to the dunes than what you see in the pics and the pics just dont do it justice. those hills are steep. dont knock it till youve been there.

Rocks, dropoffs, ledges, etc.
 
Are those orange flags on front for when you are cresting over a hill people on the other side can see you?

You could make it a weekend trip OZ! there is the twisted trails off-road park, not too ridiculously far from silver lake, and it kinda fits your bill. You can make a weekend/week out of it, there are plenty of places to camp or check out the many hotel/motel's around that area.

Yea, that and bundy hill are about equally far away, I am going to start putting together spare parts soon, I'm thinking axleshafts/cv shafts front and rear, and driveshaft(s), u joints...... what else...
 
Is your buddy Steve happen to be on the Radio? Looks like Producer Steve from Free beer and Hot Wings LOL

Looks like fun up there, I plan on getting over there a couple times!

ha ha it sure is, good eye! that was his girlfriends first time in the dunes, she was in town from jersey. you should come up the weekend after memorial day. we are having an R-F meet up there.
