ordered goodyear wrangler duratrac 265/75/16 c-loads today. what tire pressure should i run for city and highway driving?

can you give me a little more info on exactly what you are basing your answer? thanks

in my career i spent 2years working at big-O tires and a total of 5 years in the quik-lube industry (i.e. jiffy lube and Xpress lube) at an average of 80 cars per day and 250 work days per year for 5 years, i or someone withing 5 feet of me at any given time have checked 100,000 cars totalling 400,000 tires just in my quick lube career. not counting my time at big-o. now secondly you have c-class tires which is a fancy name for saying 6-ply. the "max" rating on the tire could be 80psi could be "50" psi, could be "35",
a ford ranger for street/highway driving will run 35psi no matter what tires are on it and that is based off of the gvwr more than anything else. and i'd bet your door tag even reccomends something between 32-35psi, you could go up to 40 if you really wanted but 40+ usually is better for 1/2 ton and bigger trucks, and without the extra weight pushing on the tire the higher pressures could cause your tires to wear funny

sounds like you know your shet. door panel says 30, the tires im replacing are max psi 44 and ive been running about 34 lbs and theyve worn well. the duratracs max psi is 50, so 35 sounds about right. ill ask em when i get em mounted. thanks.

Any where from 30-35psi is perfect. Ignore the sidewall rating....that is the max pressure with max load on the tire when cold. The sidewall will state to follow vehicle manufacturer recommended pressures.
