How do you go about pulling out the rear fenders to make it look like a prerunner. people always say they do it but i can't imagine how

fender pulling?
grab it by the wheelwell and pull!.......but seriously, how hard it is depends on how far out you need to go.:icon_welder:

Look up towards the top of the box from inside the wheel well. You'll see a wide flat piece of metal holding the box side to the inner box. Cut it length-wise, and use a 2x4 along the outside fender with a bottle jack against the inner to 'pull' the bedsides out. Then use your prefered method of reinforcing the area you cut, by installing a spacer to hold the newly wider boxsides stable where they now sit. You may also have to extend the rods going to the corner of the wheelwells. I'll get pics when I get a chance if someone else doesn't post any first.

that's exactly the method i use if i'm going for 2-3".any more than that it get's tougher as the front and rear of the box get pulled out of shape.then you need to do some serious cutting and welding.fronts are always a pain.

you can also use a bottle jack instead of the spreader they made, but put a piece of 2x4 (like 6" should be enough, youre just trying to distribute the pressure over a broader surface) between the jack and the bedside. pump SLOWLY to prevent creases
