anyone know what the best programmer would be for the gen 1 exploders?

Only way to really program it is with a complete stand-alone ecm like Mega Squirt

"exploder performance" is nearly a contradiction in terms. the only thing i can even think of would be a manual fuel pressure regulator (can't say that i have seen it specifically on an exploder) but they usually run about $40 and you can adjust fuel delivery by it

LMAO!!! Kinda like military intelligence. The two words just shouldn't be allowed to co-exist. :icon_rofl:

Honestly though, if you want any performance from an Explorer... an engine swap is the only way. If you put a stroked 302... or even better a stroked 351, THEn you're talking performance. :icon_thumby:

A first gen sport with a stick is pretty motivated for a small SUV. My 2dr Navajo is quick enough.
