hey gang.
Had a leaky valve cover gasket, so I replaced it. In doing so, i had to disconnect the intake manifold and all the accessories to get to all the bolts.
Disassembled it, and installed an intake manifold gasket as well (was not one on there) and replaced and reassembled the valve cover gasket and all the accessories.
During the process, i degreased and cleaned the engine of all oil.
Now here is my problem.
I try to crank the engine and it will fire an immediately die. I put my foot on the gas and idle it around 2500 or so rpm and it will idle, however it sounds ROUGH. almost as if there is a cylinder not firing. checked the firing order and it is correct.
Did adding the intake gasket cause this, or water from degreasing parts?

WATER! Anytime you wash your engine you stand a chance of wetting the wrong parts. I'm betting on the wires themselves.
