I'm thinking about getting some 130 watt KC lights, does anyone here run them? I am wanting somthing to flood the road with light on nasty nights on my drive home. Do you have to shut them off when passing cars? Are they legal to use on the road? About how long do they last?
Thanks for any pointers!

i am not sure about your local and state laws, But in canada 55 wats is all you are allowed for after market lights for street use.
I went to nighthawks ( replacement ) lights for my B2 what a difference in night vision. and a set of standard run of the mill driving light for road use. with a couple extra sets for off road lights, to use while off roading.
But really check out those nighthawks, they will really blow your mind
Check out my link to cardomain you can see what i have done

Hella 500 FF's are good. And provide lots of light. Plus they are found for very resonable prices.

Shut them off out of respect not because you have to. I know if I passed someone that did that I would turn around. People that dont shut their high beams off piss me off, 260 watts (if you have 2 lights) in my face would push me over the edge. I second the nighthawks.

I ended up getting a set of 130 watt KC driving lights, I bolted them on today and they are awsome. Look great on the front bumper and I have a wire triggering the relay from my hi-beams, so the KC's shut off when I go to my low beams.
