ya, tried that. just couldnt get enough to make a good grip on the nut with the retainer in the way. ill get a socket to get the nut off.
If you don't have any spacers under the spring anymore it takes a pretty deep socket.I at least finish it with a wrench lowering and raising like superds.
it still has the little factory spacer on top of the lower seat. should i remove that if im going to be using the existing shocks? rs5039. the leveling coils are from skyjacker.
I think you'll be ok to leave the factory spacer on there. The 1/2" or so (from memory, correct me if I'm wrong) shouldn't have that much effect on the shock travel.
