Ok I got a 92 Explorer 140K 4x4 auto trans lockout hubs 3" BL 245/75-16 AT Tires.
I just rebuilt the hole front end (bearings, seals, poly bushing, brakes and tierods and drag link) The rear got new axle seals and brakes too. The body is fair but does have cancer on the rear rocker and front of rear wheel wells. The problem is the tran too a crap again ( 2nd Trans now ) so I am thinking now what I am sick of these autos going out, BTW this is a DD and very mild offroad truck its my wifes so it doesnt see dirt too often. Well I am looking on CL and I found a 91 explorer with a 5 speed 115K on it for $950 so I am thinking going and looking it over and if its ok going to get it. Now this is where I want you to give me your opions and input.
Option 1
Swap front end and BL over to the new explorer and other goodys
and if I went this rout what do I do for the trans shifter with BL?

Option 2
Pull 5 speed out of new explorer and all related parts and swap in old explorer.
How big of project would this be?

I'd use which ever one has the best body and keep the other for parts. You don't have to use a manual extension with a body lift, it will just make the shift knob 3" lower then stock. Try it, if you don't like it order the shift extension ($30-$40) to bring it back up.
