Not trying to be rude or anything but if you take on the banner you should really know that you are the key to moving the banner and should atleast pop on here and see whos around to pass it to.

Ill be in Albany tomorrow for a wedding in my ranger or explorer, id have no problem meeting with him tomorow eve if he would pop on here and get back to us.

Soon as i get it id try and meet all the people around my area to sign it that are on TRS and see to meeting someone from the south to pass it.

i'm waitin... already got routes planned out to get it to alaska to all the fine people up there, get it to see samsquanch, and whalstrom, two wicked moderators of the site, and get it to see gwaii...

only thing is the people who are on the route don't know they are doing it yet... though i would imagine they kinda expect it being they know they live in remote areas, and put themselves on the map...

if i were to had picked it up when i was in tacoma, i would have had it move 950miles within a week, and gotten up to about 10 signatures, provided everyone was ready, less if they weren't available in the time i was doing the drive, not to mention i had already sent pm's to most of the members along that route, regarding plans and such...

Ben, I could meet u in roseburg some weekend. I work 5-6 days a week 10hr days so scheduling something a couple weeks out is always best.

first we get cordless to pass the banner to scotts90ranger.

Then I will meet with scott to get it to eugene. Ill look up local members to sign then meet with ben a week or two later so it will end up at the oregon california border

Scott is from salem and commutes to Portland and can get the banner from cordless. So we theoretically should have this thing set for moving.

Id hate for it to run so far without hitting many locals on the way and id hate for you to have to stop and wait for each.

I can understand an 8 hour drive in a 17mpg BroncoII versus a 32mpg Corolla, especially if expenses are tight and you are the sole transporter between TRS-ers. :icon_cheers:

i said you knew you were getting the best information possible... and btw, i DO trust 90% of the content on wiki to be accurate, the screening to change things, and the logging that they do, and the moderation of changes is quite heavy...

Yea. I actually do frequently trust Wikipedia, I was just kidding. I use it to look up car specs, curb weights, and motor configs all the time. I actually used it as a quick reference while I was getting my engineering degree for certain formulas (when I didn't have my books around). :D It is rather useful.


I think the only exception that should be made is to RSH. There's no way anyone is willing to cross that many borders for a single signature, and Honduras is not a common vacation destination. Being a top contributor (*ahem* addict), he should be allowed to put his chicken scratch on the Banner. We could all pitch $ in for shipping, too.

Anyways, I hope this Banner gets moving again.

Hey, Weezl's twisting my arm in another thread (kidding!), but I'm driving out of Juneau, Alaska in about two weeks. I'll be driving through Haines, and Skagway, and then through Whitehorse and down toward Bellingham, Washington. Unfortunately for the Canadians, while I AM driving my Ranger, I'm not driving back through Canada, since I'm moving. I hate that this banner came down by Roseburg Oregon and it didn't stop at chances gravesite. I know Chance would have been in on this. Would have been nice to have had a photo with his stone.

Jim, I'm driving up to Seattle for Thanksgiving, and I would love to stop by Chance's grave if I have the banner. I remember driving up through there last year shortly after he passed and it really brought me down, so I'd love to make him a part of this thing. I'd just need to find where his grave is.

I'd of course bring it back down with me, so we don't deny our SoCal members. :D

i applaud your effort, but there are people north and west of edmonton that need it before it heads back east... it's gotta hit alaska... it's going to be some long drives, but gwaii, second ranger, samsquanch, mister mike, lima peru, cbrrider, and any other members in the northern section of north america

kirk3000 and magnav30 are going to have to co-ordinate with cargs to get this picked up from an american member... i have no plans to be going to vancouver between now and christmas, and to be honest, don't really plan to be out there FOR christmas... but we shall see...

i WILL be there on may 13th for a RAMMSTEIN CONCERT!!!!! :D possibly before then... but i've been out there 3-4 times trying to get the banner, and i can't afford to keep making trips out
