Any ideas on how to get the nuts on the U bolts loose? Ive tried heat and letting them soak in wd40 but they still wont budge. I bought a couple new bolts and was just going to cut the old ones but the ones I got are too small and I cant find the right size anywhere. Thanks.

big breaker bar and the correct size 6 point socket. then add pipe to the end of the breaker bar. keep adding pipe until sucess is attained.

good chance the bolts will snap or bend. If they are that bad get some new ones. I've had some tight ones before that I got apart and reused. If I question them at all or if they require too much work to take off I get new ones and cut the old ones. You are pretty much guranteed to get the wrong ones from a chain autoparts store. Go to a smaller mom and pop type place or look in the phone book for a driveline shop. They will know where to find a set for you.

Cut them off with a hack saw and buy new ones. Save yourself alot of agravation and sore muscles.
