I have a 2000 Ford Ranger 3.0 liter v6 2wd.About two years ago the hydraulic master cylinder went bone dry.. the clutch would not work obviously because of the air in the system, anyways I asked around and learned how to fix. Replaced the master cylinder and everything was fine. For about 2 yrs now I have had to add dot 3 to the master at least once a week. And its getting worse. I dont notice any leaking underneath the truck at all.Ive checked many times but cannot find the leak. The clutch bleeder valve is loose though..was wondering if this brake fluid could be leaking somewhere inside the bell housing?? If any one could help me out that would be sweet..Thank you for your time..

take a rag and complety wipe down the lines, master, and trans. You obviously have a serious leak if your having to refill it once a week.

I fill mine every morning before going to work:icon_thumby:
My slave cylinder is on it's way out, lol, it's too cold to pull the tranny this week, but hey at least it bleeds itself!

But no seriously, dude, like he said, wipe it all down and look for where it's leaking, if there is still the rubber plug in the bellhousing, you may have to pull it out and look in there with a flash light to see if it's leaking out the slave cylinder...

Just my .2
