i did not mention those because i am a very firm believer in thier dangerousness. i know someone whose friend had a pair and he was driving on the road, down a long straight hill. my friend was following him. wheel adaptor broke. 36" tire passed the jeep that it was on and smashed into an ambulance that was coming up the hill on its way to a call. he got sued hardcore and no longer has the jeep.Wheel adapters, but they're not exactly cheap. If you got the wheels for free, just sell them and pocket the money.
8.8 is stronger than a d44. the shafts are as big as d60 shafts. i dont understand why your asking this though cause there is no such thing as a front 8.8.alright sounds good, i also have a scout dana 44 that i might swap in there, that would solve the rear but its the front that i cant figure out. Are the 44s stronger than an 8.8?

what? i thought all those front ends were D50 or D60 if solid axle and D50 TTB. i have never heard of an 8.8 front end. where did you hear/learn this?yes there is. not sure if its the current model or the previous model but there is an 8.8 front used in the Super Duty.
ok so that just refers to the guts of the front end. i thought he meant a real axle. (IFS doesnt even come close to qualifying. TTB is a gray area.)The crappy torsion bar 1/2 ton Fords have 8.8 front ends.
