Well after giving up on trying to find mud tires to fit my stock 14" wheels I was about to order some 15's from JCWhitney when I stumbled upon the Super Swamper TSL's. Originally I began looking at them because they're so mean looking and was stoked when I saw that they made a 28/8.5/14. That would be the perfect size but my happiness began to seize when I saw some of the reviews. A lot of people say they are awesome tires that last forever while some say that you'll be lucky to get 6,000 miles out of them on the road.

I usually go offroad atleast once a week toting my fourwheeler around but this is also my daily driver and i drive 75 miles a day between school and work. So I guess my question is; will these last on the road? I plan on keeping them for another year, about 30,000 miles, until I go off to a university and buy a newer truck.

You really shouldn't have all the normal Swamper issues with a tire that small. But a more realistic expectation from any mud tire under 31" is more like 18-20K not 30K, if properly maintained and cared for.

I say do it.:icon_thumby:

as light as a ranger is swampers will last 20-30K if they are taken care of. Probably the reviews were they are toast after 6,000 are full size & heavy duty trucks.

Just expect a loud hum and rough ride on the road but they will work great off road

awesome tire imo. loud on the road but perform well. are they the bias or radials?

i have a set of 35x9.5 on my 88 and i never noticed any more noise from the tires. they have been on for about 5 k miles and still look new
