A constant click is typically the relay. The battery tries to start it, and closes the relay. But once the circuit is closed all the power from the battery is gone and the relay opens again. You've hit the point where it just keeps bouncing back and forth.
Definitely try boosting it off a known good battery.
If the starter is still in the vehicle, make sure you attach the black jumper cable to a good ground location on the dead vehicle.
It just seems to me that your battery is dead.

Theres only 4 components.
1. battery
2. starter relay (sidewall of engine bay)
3. starter solenoid(mounted to starter)
4. starter
Check each one of these starting at the battery. One of them will be the problem. I dont think even the computer effects this system where just turning the motor over is concerned( someone correct me if Im wrong).

my negative battery cable was corroded on the inside of the insulation...it took me a while to find the bad spot where it bolted to the frame...but after replacing the cable it started fine...just a thought

When I bought my truck (used), the very next day it would'nt start. I had just cleaned up the battery terminals in the morning because they were a bit dirty. Thinking the battery was not the problem after making sure that it was charged, I replaced the starter. The dealer reimbursed me for the starter, but when I was leaving their lot after picking up the check, it would'nt start again. It turned out to be a loose battery negative cable. Oh well, at least I knew I would'nt have to worry about the starter any time soon (and it had a lifetime warranty). Remember, the terminal clamp may be tight on the battery terminal, but the cable needs to also be tight on the terminal clamp.

I replaced my bad starter with a good starter from the pull a part. Stupid me got an automatic starter which has a longer pinion shaft. I ended up hitting up the mechanic for 200 buck reman starter and come to find out the beginning problem was exactly this. Whoever had it before me sliced the insulation on th e end of the positive wire where it meets the terminal. Even though I cleaned the outside with a brsuh there was corrosion in the inside of the wire down into the termianl. When the new starter he put in didnt work and he had to replace it again free due to warranty then he decided to chec the wire and it was a 1/8 inch gap of corrosiion. Cost us both alot of money.
