Wow, those shots look great. During the winter season it's nice to see pics like these, really lifts the spirit! On vacation to florida last winter I went to Ft. DeSoto, such a nice beach and not to crowded.

I love the Ft DeSoto Park.

My 2 boys (10 and 7) absolutely loved the old cannons.

We also got behind a goth looking girl and I thankfully read the back of her shirt before my boys did (Just Swallow It!)

Didn't want to answer those questions just yet :shok:

There is also a bird sanctuary in Clearwater near the pier.

Great pics!

Fort Desoto is pretty cool, havent been there in awhile but walking into all the diffrent rooms is always kinda weird. Real fun place though.

What kind of camera were you using? and you willing to give some pointers on taking good pics?

Thanks to all of you for your replies, I really appreciate it!

I'm using a Nikon D70, which I have had for about 3 years now. One pointer
I can give you, I have found that the lens is what determines the sharpness
and clarity of the pics. For these pictures, I was using a Nikon 70 200mm f/2.8 VR lens, which is known for it's sharpness, and bokeh.
