need some help

I have a 93 3.0 4x4, everytime i engage the clutch the motor revs to around 4000 rpm and when I release it in gear it goes back to normal rpm's. It also (after warming up) will idle at around 2500 rpm for 5-10 seconds. Someone told me it might be the mass air sensor, but I don't know. Any suggestions would help. Thanks

Do you have an engine light on? I would suspect the IAC motor first, they can be cleaned. Next, check for a vacuum leak. Those hoses on the PCV system are the most likely to suck down until they rupture and then leak like a big dog. Could be the MAF too and they can be cleaned with contact cleaner only- carb cleaner can kill one pretty quickly.

No my egine light doesn't come on. I will check for leaks and clean the MAF. Thanks for the help.

clean either MAF with electical cleaner and other sensor possibility and pcv valve (iac,egr )
