Is there an easy way to do this? Just like pry them off with a screwdriver or something? I wanna replace my 1998 Badges with the 2006+ badges. Im going to the pic-a-part on Wednesday so I can't really use a heat gun or something to get them off. Any ideas?

Just be gentle if you use this method, it feels like it's gonna snap when you're prying on it too hard. Just gotta get new adhesive backing afterwards.

I replaced mine with 2006 emblems and used a hair dryer and dental floss. May not be practical in the junk yard but it will work when taking your old ones off without messing up the paint

Do not use a screw driver. You will scratch the paint. You can run fishing line or some string behind the badge and will come off. You would just need to remove any residue left over. Now this is going under the assumption the badges are held on with double sided tape and not pegs inserted into the fender. I am new to Rangers so not 100% positive

They should be held on with both. At least mine were.

3M Adhesive Remover (available at NAPA last time I checked). Pour it on the body above the aforementioned desired badge so it gets between the badge and the body and it makes it as if the adhesive isn't even there after a few minutes. It may tarnish plastic parts so be careful or test it on a hidden area first.

a hard putty knife is much better than a screwdriver. If you round the corners off and be really carefull you can do it without damaging the paint too.

hahahaha That video was ridiculous!! "thats what u do with tow straps" lol awesome

if you wanna get rid of those badges, say for free...i know a place where you could send 'em

My rear '98' badge was just glued on, other years have pegs or bolted on. I used a screw driver but had a soft piece of wood to act as the pivot point, hair drier and rubbing alcohol.

My friend installs vynil graphics at the dealers lots for new sheriff cars and the such and uses the fishing line to remove the badges then re-installs them over the graphics. Of course a heat gun does come in handy to help on stubborn ones but that's is how they do it. .... As for the video above i don't know what to say maybe the famous quote "stupid is as stupid does"

What a complete dumbass. What was this kid thinking roaring backwards as fast as he could? Take up the slack, THEN power-up.

Too bad it didn't rip the entire front end off the damn Ranger. He's too stupid to be allowed to have one.

Thanks for the info guys, I'll just take everything to the pic-a-part. haha.
