do you mean replace a 4.0 with a 3.0? thats kinda how its worded. i'm assuming you mean the opposite. unless you need a lot of power/performance, a 4.0 should do fine. i have the 4.0 in mine stock. it has a lot of power.

Either one is such a nightmare to undertake it is almost a must to simply sell that ride and getcha another one with the engine you'd like.
First you will need a total donar vehicle and then you will have to swap all the parts over from it to yours.. Everything must be swapped..includeing the tail pipe and the radiator and everything inbetween.
