Other than some possible electronics, will a '96 4.0 from a an Explorer/Ranger bolt directly into a 1990 Ranger that came stock with a 4.0? I'm purchasing a 1990 Ranger this Saturday for $750.00 but it's got a bad head gasket on the 4.0 and thought it would be easier just to put in a good newer 4.0. The Ranger is a 4x4 with an automatic. I have lots of mechanical/electrical experience but not much knowledge of the Ranger. It's kind of a last minute decision. Bill
