What year Rangers have the tailgate with Ford stamped in it like a fullsize Ford? And will they fit my 1990 Ranger? Anybody have one they want to part with?

I think those came on 1st and 2nd gen trucks, it just depends on the trim level. I bet I could go up to my local JY and find one in just about any color the Ranger came in, but shipping to Austin wouldn't be pretty.

Here, they mostly get crushed. I haven't tried them yet, but I will. What is the year brake down for the 1st and 2nd gens?

If you have the tailgate with the aluminum trim plate on it, apparently the stamped FORD is underneath that. You just have to fill in some holes once you pull it off.

My '90 XLT has the FORD formed into the tailgate under the aluminum trim panel, also has mounting holes like MountainMike said.
