I'm making my own intake for my 94' 2.3 ranger. I noticed 2 hoses on the back of the stock airbox. Anyone know what those are for?

Air box? You mean the air filter housing? If so, those lines are the feed and signal, for lack of better terms, hoses that operate the blend door on the intake air pre-heater. One, usually red, taps the vacuum from the intake and feeds it to a thermal switch. The other line, usually green, I think, takes the vacuum signal, or lack thereof, to the blend door's vacuum motor.
