i got into work this morning and my boss informed me that he required me to drive down to Dallas tx, i live in manitoba canada. Just me my dog and my RANGER! i'm stoked, any thing along the road worth stopping to check out along the way?

MN has lots of great lakes for swimming and what not. i got family there and i love it there. if it is warm enough you should make a point to stop somewhere. northern mn is best

If you are into cars, there is a auto restoration department at McPherson, KS on 135. It is the only 4 year degree program and is the one that Jay Leno is involved with. I have not been there, but everyone who stops by says it is worth it. They supposedly have tours but you would have to verify that.

I'm an hour North of pastor bubba, that's about 1/2 from you to Dallas. I've been trying to socialize my dog by introducing him to more people and dogs. Stop by if you take this route, I'll tell you about when I used to live in Dallas.

Finda Cabela's. If you're into to ANY sort of outdor activity, you won't be disappointed!

Oh, BTW, if you don't have your passport, you'll need it to cross the boarder.

If you can find your way to Amarillo (on I-40), check out the Big Texas Streak House. Sure it may look like a tourist trap, but speaking from expeirence, it's worth a stop. The food backs it up. If you're crazy enough, they're famous for their "free 72 oz. steak dinner." The only caveat is that you have to finish all 5+ lbs of food (4.5 steak, salad, baked potato, shrimp cocktail & biscut) in under 1 hour. If you don't that free dinner will be about $80. Worth it though. You can always share the leftovers with the dog.
