Keep or Disable EGR?

I am currently rebuilding my 4.0 as you all know, I was wondering if you guys think I should keep the EGR valve on there, or swap to an intake without the EGR setup, is there any benefit to either course? I am buying new headers anyway so its not really any extra trouble to eliminate it.

I think you have to have that EGR to pass inspection, at least in my state you do...

That 4.0 isn't hurt any at all by the egr. I wouldn't take it off. You are leaving the cats in place also...aren't you? Neither will hinder the 4.0 short of the race track.

I have no inspection in my state, but I shall follow Big Jims advice and leave it regardless, was just asking.
