I'm seriously considering throwing some slightly larger tires on my ranger, but need a little advice or input on what to do.

Right now I'm running stock 255/70r16 (30s). I was considering buying some 265/75r16 (31.5s) bfg km2s but here those will run me about $1500 mounted and balanced. And this doesn't include the new black steelies I want them mounted on.

Another option was to go with some used 285/70r16 (31.7s) bfg km with approx 80% tread left. These were already on black steelies for just under $1000 mounted and balanced.

A few questions. How much better are the bfg km2 than km? Is the extra cash worth it?

How much rub would I be dealing with? Would it be speed bump rub or full flex rub? How about a fully cranked steering wheel in a turn?

Also, using a rim with a slight off-set is an option, a .5 inch wheel spacer is legal here too. Does a 1.5 inch t-bar crank void any drivetrain warranties?

Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks.
