I can give a definitive answer to this one.... No. That never happens. The produced footage is tricky to rebrodcast like that as well, it falls under IPR issues for distribution and the network and all their ambulance chasing lawyers get puffed up when that happens. As much as I'd like to be able to say we could turn over some of the unpublished footage for educational/tech info, it's not going to happen. It brings up a good idea though.... I know bandwidth is an issue, but a remote hosting site (photobucket or such...) my be a solution for that.... you could have people "produce" their own video and have a "Video Tech TIps' section. limit the total running time (TRT in biz lingo) to 30 or 45 seconds, which doesnt sound like much until you try to fill it up with content. Every PC and Mac has onboard editing software, and most folks have a camcorder, and EVERYBODY has a phone with video capability.... it's simple to do, and inexpensive.
Just a thought...
