is there a difference between a manual trans in a 93 ranger and a 4 cyl mustang? im sure the gear ratio is different but would it bolt up to the crossmember and bell housing?
 
Ranger uses mostly Mazda trans. I think Mustang used Tremecs. A 2.3 mustang trans should bolt to a 2.3 Ranger engine, but once you get behind that bell housing I won't make any promises.

Also, no Ford 4 cly trans will bolt to a Ford 6 cyl engine.
