I've just bought a Mazda B4000 4X4 a week ago and wanted to drop into this forum say hi. When I first got the truck it had a low idle problem and would frequently stall before the engine was warmed up. I found this forum and lurked around reading about the common maint. items for the Ford 4.0L OHV. Well let me say that all the posts here were extremely educational. I've never owned an American made vehicle before and I've never done anything other than the most basic maintenance (oil changes, fluid flushes, etc...).
But by reading old posts I was able to locate the IAC, remove it and clean and now the idle problem is gone! I still need to clear out the CEL since in CA its an automatic smog failure (even if all the gases are within tolerances!). I'm now gonna buy an OBDII code reader. Let me say that the you guys have a great forum going on here.
