Was wondering if anyone ever had this problem. I have a 2000 ranger with a 4.0 and a auto 5speed overdrive. While driving with overdrive off and when I let up on the gas the car will slow down like it should till it gets around 1500 rpms and then it just drops like lead to 1000 or a little lower. Then if you watch the tach it will start to go back up again. This will also do it with the overdrive on and it still at 1500 rpms down to 1000 or so and then starts to rev back up without feeding gas, the rev up is just for a very little then starts to slow again. I have replaced the tps, Iac, Maf and one of the 2 o2 sensors.
