Also the reason I really made this post was to determine what size shocks i need. Here are the measurements, I was going to try 3 inch lift shocks. Because stock and 4x4 shock are to short at the fully extended length, 3 inches on regular ones and 1.5 or so on the 4x4

i took some measurements of shock lengths bushing to bushing

17 inches with the front wheel in the air

15.5 with it sitting under its own weight

14.5 with the rear wheels in the air, probably go with 14 though

now that was with the shock on, i just read that i should have done it with the shock off.

so if i go with extra 2 inches both way for safty travel i would have a 7 inch stroke.

and should have 12 in compressed and 19 fully extened with a 7 inch stroke. does that make sense? where can i find info to find a shock that matches?

Do i have to measureall the lengths with the shocks on or off, i was told off but im not sure?

What type of suspension are you running on your truck ?
I would go with what the Lift manufacturer would recomend.

But a little more info might help alittle

As for the suspension, we ( the forum ) have been trying to figure that out.

i didnt liftthe truck, it was done years ago, take a look at the pictures in the 4x4 suspension forum, under the topic lift types suspension/body?

What more info do you need?
