ok this winter is taking its toll on my 07 3.slow its getting hard to start somedays when its cold like in the 20sF it will kinda start then die and then when i try to start it again it will fire up but try to die and kinda sputter and then vroooom to life. and the warmer it gets the easier it is to start again. now i am running my summer weight oil which is 10w30 and the only reason why im running it now is cause the weather down here changes like nite and day it may be 60 one day and the next it will be in the 30s. i have clean the IAC,MAF,checked the TPS and it is within spec. so now im wondering if its the cam syncro. but im not sure what do yall think it could be???? and im bout to leave for 6 months and id like to come back and my truck run when i start it and not have to drop some major cash in it

First thing I'd do is go get another temp sender for the computer... NOT the temp for the gauge. That could easily be the only problem.

new temp sensor didnt change anything. so now im going to do a new tune up motorcraft plugs, wires, fuel filter and clean the fuel system. hope that does something

new fuel filter helped alot!!!! then i just changed plugs and wires to be sure i solved the problem everything is working the way its soppoused to again!!!
