87 2WD/4WD front running gear swap?

Do you know if I can change front running gear on a 2 wheel drive and a 4 wheel drive? I have 2 87 model rangers. one is a 2WD and the other a 4WD the 4WD is not worth driving so i was thinking of putting the 4WD front running gear on the 2WD. ANY ideas?

Any body with info on any mods to make this possible please give feedback...thanks!
 
it is possible. but not easy and most people consider it not worth the time and effort. someone on here did it. let me find the thread.
 
i couldnt find it real quick but if you search for it youll be able to.

the biggest thing is that you have to swap engine crossmembers and some other fab work.
 
do a body swap or trade to a 4x4
 
Rebuild / restore the 4WD chassis and powertrain then swap the bodies.
