hey all. I'm new to the Forum's here.
Got a tech question for the swap gods.
I have a 2004 Ford Ranger with the auto transfer case. and i HATE it. it worked good for the 1st few months then it took a dump. i pulled the plugs apart on the bottom and found them to be filled with dirt and grit. ok, so i cleaned them and put die-electric greese on them and it switches from 2wd-HI to 4wd-HI great but is a Biatch to get in/out of 4-LO. i found a smokin' deal on a transfer case from a 95 or 97 ranger (cant remember which) with a 5spd manual. My truck has a 5spd manual too...and from what i can see, they are the same transmissions. so could i swap this transfer case and be on my merry way? what would you guys do/suggest? thanks all!
