Well, last weekend I changed my oil and oil pressure sending unit. After I was done I started up the truck and all went fine.....until it warmed up. I heard a LOUD 'air sucking' noise, the engine dropped RPM and quit. So, I'm thinking vacum lines, I did have to reach over some lines to thread the new sending unit.......So, I move the hoses around making sure they are connected. They are, so I start the engine. The engine runs like a champ, however, check engine light is on. I had a friend of mine with a scanner run the codes, they are related to the loss of RPM incident. I explained what had happened to him and he rechecks the hoses......He finds the problem, a small crack in the hose that runs from the PCV valve to the intake runner. Easy fix. Just wanted to relay the information, maybe save someone some grief in the future!!

lol i found the same thing on mine after i changed my plugs my engine didnt run right but i found out there was a huge hole in the egr hose to the intake(electrical tape and zip ties)
