Brake line swap

Yo,
I recall reading somewhere that someone swapped front brakelines from a Jeep Wrangler instead of using extended lines. Anybody hear of this and if it works? Thanks!

if you get along with the parts store guys go take a old line and match fittings with those of a longer line and fab up a way to mount them.
