Gettin new title in PA

Hi, does anyone know what it takes to get a title for a old vehicle when the original title is long gone? I mean I'm looking at a 60 something plow jeep on ebay and they don't have a title for it. Does anyone in PA know how hard it would be to file for one?

I know people who have done it. I know you need the VIN, and the make/model/year and that it can take a while. Beyond that I'm not sure what you need. PennDOT should be able to tell you what all you need.

PennDot makes you jump through tons of hoops before they will issue you a new title. But it can be done. It just takes a lot of work and a lil money. Hooray for PennDot. :annoyed:

(Keep in mind, they have a million dollar advertising budget...)
