My uncle recently bought a Jeep Cherokee (no clue why) and every once in awhile it's like the power steering just quits. There are no noises when this happens, fluid appears to be in good condition, no burnt smell, and there is enough fluid. I'm not sure if its related but the engine light is on too. Does anyone have any ideas what it's problem might be? It has 70,000 miles and i forget what year it is, i think it might be an '03. thanks for any help. and if you need more info let me know and i will get it.
