the grand total i paid for it was $1500 , took it out for its first ride yesterday , the clutch grabs a half inch off the floor , i have yet to try out the 4x4 , the only thing that takes some getting used to is the extremely short first gear

Probably don't need first gear unless you are pulling something, Thats how my F350 was.

that is sweet that ya got it for that price....man if only i were so lucky....

it may need a new clutch, or just may need bled....anyways for the price ya paid...gotta expect a few things...

hope ya get all the bugs worked out so ya can drive it down here with the Ranger out back for the wheelin' trip....:icon_thumby:

i dont think it does , the clutch grabs at the bottom of its travel , it doesnt have alot of free play , so it is tight , which i like about this truck

i plan on finishing up the truck before the school year is up , and maybe i will make it down there with the blue truck at the end of summer :icon_thumby:

Yeah, 1st gear is useless on both my diesels.

The clutch shouldnt be that close to the floor. On both my trucks, my 1993 F250 and my 1994 F350, the slave cylinder was slowly failing and thats where the clutch was engaging. Replaced the slave and the pedal is back up to half way from the floor. Shifting also became easier because the clutch was now dissengaging all the way.

You should copy this thread over to www.blueovaltrucks.com

Also, watch out for the fuel tanks....... they like to rust out about 2 months after you buy the truck..... dont ask me how I know.

yea , i will have to replace the slave cylinder , though not really looking forward to pulling the tranny haha , but maybe i will have the tranny class do it for me , i did notice that even though i had the clutch all the way to the floor , it was difficult to shift

fuel tanks look kinda bad , i am going to check it all over while i have the service bed off the thing

well i took the extension off the rack today , and took the running boards off , and cleaned out the utility bed , i think i am gonna leave the utility bed on and use it not only as a tow rig but also as the Ultimate RBV support Rig , stock it with tools and parts we always seem to need haha

and while checking everything over i found a bad shackle mount
