I got a NASTY leak around where the shifter shaft goes into the transmission.
I assume there is a bushing/seal there that is wallered out.
How much would somone charge to fix it? I thought about doing it myself, but the shaft is a double shaft and I don't feel confortable dealing with it, unless it is easier than I think.
[edit] the transmission is a C-3 in a '84 ranger with 250,xxx miles.
