Just curious what degree pinion angle everyone is running.

From what i understand is that the caster angle is more important than the u -joint angle. I figured i would put mine at 7 degrees. I came up with that number for a couple reasons. First i read from currie ent. in a mag a while back that they found 6 degrees to be ideal for rigs with large tires, (im guessing over 35s) to track well down the road. Second i have a freind that had his old axle at around 10 degrees and he had gnarly death wobble which he cured by shiming it down near 7 degrees.

So i figure anything between 6-9 degrees is exceptable and safe?? it could always shim it either way to fine tune it.

So what ya got??

6 degrees.

And Caster is more important then pinion angle. But at the right caster if the pinion angle is really bad then you can cut and turn the axle tubes.
