I have a 1995 4 cyl. Ranger.

I was travelling down a washboarded gravel road when all of the sudden my radio went out. I then noticed that my speedometer, turn signals and wipers weren't working either. My ABS light now blinks 15 short blinks followed by 1 long blink. Everything else seems OK. I thought OK must be a fuse somewhere, but they are all in good shape. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Probable a lose wire from the power or also a ground

Hey younggun,

That's a good one.
Like Seabiscuit said, I'd start checking all the obvious.
Connectors under hood. Power and grounds.

As for fuses, not only do you got the inside panel.
Under the hood, left side near brake booster, there
is a power distribution box. It's full of relays, breakers,
and more fuses.
That would be a good place to look after you check connections.
It's the only other place I can think of that would have something
common to ALL the things you said were going crazy. :shok:

Any good places on the internet showing the engine fuse box cross reference diagrams?

Hey Seabiscuit,

Found a pic of the power distribution box in a folder
full of Ford stuff I have. It's for '96 Ranger (I think).
Guess it would be similar for '95.

PO'd! I can't find the legend that went with it.
Your guess is as good as mine on the unlabeled spots. :dntknw:

Thanks guys, I have checked all the stuff that I can see under the hood and behind the plastic under the steering wheel and nothing looks amiss. I have checked all the fuses and looked at the relays, although I don't really know what I am looking for on the relays but they look OK. I have noticed that owners of 95 Fords have a lot of problems with their GEM (Generic Electrical Modual?) I was wondering if it might be something wrong there. I am not sure what the GEM does really but it sounds like it controlls numerous electrical components. What do you guys think? I will keep checking stuff. thanks
